With Frey and Freya, Nordic Sport has created something entirely new.

The Frey 800 g and Freya 600 g are built using our unique hybrid technology, combining aluminium and specially developed carbon fibre evenly throughout the entire javelin body. Instead of separating the two materials into individual sections, we have brought their different qualities together across the full length of the javelin.

The result has to be experienced.

During the approach and release, Frey and Freya provide the smooth, responsive and forgiving feeling of an elite aluminium javelin. The javelin works with the athlete through the release, creating confidence without losing stability or precision.

Once it leaves the hand, its character changes.

In the air, Frey and Freya display the stability, aerodynamic response and powerful gliding characteristics of a Valhalla Hard. The hybrid construction allows the javelin to combine a forgiving release with the flight performance expected from an elite carbon javelin.

For female elite throwers in particular, Freya opens up a new possibility: a 600 g javelin that feels natural and manageable through the release, yet delivers uncompromising aerodynamic performance in the air. It is made for athletes who want confidence in the hand without giving up distance after the release.

Frey brings the same concept to the 800 g category, giving elite male throwers a genuine high-performance choice based on their technique, release and preferred feeling—not on different levels of ambition.

Both Frey and Freya are available with Nordic Sport’s world-unique NSX and NSB tips, enabling athletes to select the aerodynamic characteristics best suited to their throwing style and wind conditions.
